wanted to make music so we went to the hub.

If you’re trying to come together and make music in Brickell, most people in the know will tell you the same thing, you go to The Hub, no questions asked.

Hidden behind one of Miami’s most polished landmarks, Brickell City Centre, The Hub manages to hold onto the energy of an independent studio, the kind that gives everyone inside the freedom to be their kickass selves. It’s a space where you feel comfortable experimenting, creating, and locking in, knowing you’re surrounded by like-minded people in a genuinely safe environment.

Founded by Juan Deseda and Slow Marr, and later joined by Stay, The Hub started as a way to move past bedroom production and into a more collaborative, professional setting. Not long after, it became clear the trio, now known as “The Staff,” had built exactly that space, not just for themselves, but for the artists around them as well.

Today, The Hub stands as a beacon and an incubator for Miami’s independent music scene, growing out of a city that still feels like it’s only scratching the surface of what it can become. We spent some with them at the studio, captured the process, and walked away feeling the same thing everyone else does: this hub has something special going for it.
