Through our eyes:

NOGA EREZ’S FIRST MIAMI VISIT

EMBRACING THE SWEAT

Bringing the heat

Electricity shoots through the stage as each flash hits perfectly on beat. Boom. Flash. Black. Captivating every audience member as the 3 men approached their instruments. Boom. Flash. Black. The darkness lingered. The crowd knows what’s coming and start to cheer, “Noga! Noga! Noga!” Boom. Flash. Noga.

We heard of Israeli-artist Noga Erez for the first time in her covid-era live-streamed experience KIDS that cemented the artist as a top musical act to look out for. She has not stopped since, and we’re all happier for it.  Back then, her approach seemed to be go big or go home. Dozens of dancers around her, cameras that swung from the ceiling and the introduction of a girl who’s a rapper, singer and overall badass was what she needed to kick through the door and get everybody’s attention, and get our attention she did.

Fast forward to October 4th in Miami. Noga stepped on stage and instantly owned the room. “What do we do about this heat, Miami?” she asked, laughing. “We embrace it.”

Noga’s unique voice , raw, distinct, and perfectly in control,  cut through the noise exactly as it does on her records, maybe even better.

What followed was a performance that brought the house down with bumping 808s, great production and bars on bars from the titular artist, making it impossible to look away. Noga Erez’s energy is unmatched, with a catalog of songs that showcases just how hard she can go. Tracks like the song “NAILS” were elevated  by bold, cohesive visual treatments that very clearly represented each song’s identity.

Noga’s unique voice , raw, distinct, and perfectly in control,  cut through the noise exactly as it does on her records, maybe even better. That precision is thanks, in part, to the tight crew she performs with:

Noga Erez has curated a well rounded group of three musicians that are able to carry the weight of the artist's sharp and bombastic production style. All this is made less surprising when you factor in that the band’s musical backbone and guitar player Ori Russo (@rousso.ori) is the music producer behind a good chunk of the catalog. Their chemistry is obvious, shining brightly on stage as the two bring character into every track they’re a part of. As an audience member, it’s something really fun to experience and is ultimately the heart of their success in recent years.

Besides him, we’re also introduced to drum player and Ori’s collaborator on  multiple projects Itamar (@itamar_lob) who alongside Bar Filipowicz (@bar_filipowicz_bass) established a strong base for the entirety of the concert. Not only did each one of them kill it on their featured instruments, on top of that they kept the artist’s production alive with the use of drum pads and synths, blurring the line between analog groove and digital grit.

With Bar switching out the strings for more hard hitting 808 sections and Itamar having an arsenal of snare and stomping sounds to choose from which elevated the feel of epicness whenever called for.

Noga Erez stands out for being unapologetically herself: unpredictable, stylish, and sonically fearless.

In an era where much of music feels algorithmic, Noga Erez stands out for being unapologetically herself: unpredictable, stylish, and sonically fearless. Her Miami debut wasn’t just a concert. It was proof that individuality, when done right, can still cut through the noise.

She is not just another artist on tour. She’s a reminder of what happens when authenticity meets intention, and we at UNFAITHFOOLS are betting this tour will push her even more into the American market, making this just the continuation of a long, bright, and beautifully chaotic journey we’ll be watching closely for years to come.
